Campaign: The Brand Athlete Workshop — In Partnership with NC State’s Pack Forward Program
Focus Area: Purpose & Personal Branding
Overview:
Law of Athlete partnered with NC State University’s Pack Forward Program to deliver a transformative learning experience for student-athletes centered on purpose wellbeing and identity beyond sport.
As an NC State alumnus, founder Deonte Holden returned to his alma mater with a mission to help athletes discover who they are beyond the jersey—an extension of Law #9 in the Law of Athlete philosophy: Find Your Purpose Outside Your Sport.
The Challenge:
NC State’s Pack Forward initiative sought to equip athletes with the life tools necessary for personal development across physical, financial, and social dimensions. However, the program recognized a missing piece: the exploration of purpose and personal brand identity.
The Solution:
Law of Athlete introduced The Brand Athlete Workshop, a customized session blending storytelling, reflection, and guided exercises to help athletes clarify their values, purpose, and digital voice. The workshop empowered participants to align their identity both on and off the field, reinforcing that athletic success is only one chapter of a larger personal brand story.
The Results:
The partnership marked a powerful full-circle moment for both the university and its alumni community. Student-athletes reported stronger self-awareness, clarity of purpose, and motivation to shape their post-sport narratives. NC State staff highlighted the workshop’s alignment with the Pack Forward mission and its ability to make personal development feel real, actionable, and inspiring.
